Welcome to the home of the TriplePop plugin for WordPress.
Q. What does this plugin do?
A. It gives you the ability to dynamically perform up to three searches for a PopShops Enterprise storefront.
Q. What is PopShops?
A. PopShops is the award-winning affiliate tool that makes affiliate marking simpler by giving you access to the best offers in one place. As an affiliate using PopShops, you can market products and services from merchants across all major networks to earn a percent of sales (a commission). And with PopShops's high data feed quality standards, you can know the products you promote will meet your website's high standards.
Q. What is a a PopShops Enterprise storefront?
A. In the Enterprise plan (about $25 per month for unlimited sites), you have the added ability to add a search string as part of your query. You can use the same storefront across several pages and sites - just change the search string each time.
Q. Why would I want three searches?
A. The PopShops storefront, by itself, only performs a single search per call. If no items are found based on the search terms, nothing is returned. The TriplePop plugin makes up to three calls to PopShops, only stopping when it has returned at least one item in the result. This way you will always have something to display on your page.
Q. How much does it cost?
A. Nothing really. Just download TriplePop, take it for a test drive, and if you think it helped make you a few extra bucks, feel free to buy one of the costumes on this site :). You can also write up about the plugin in your blog/forum or just drop a link (to any of the pages here) on your site.
Q. What's the syntax?
A. {TriplePop}Search1,Search2,Search3,StoreId{/TriplePop}
Where:
- You replace the squiggly brackets with square ones.
- Search1, Search2, Search3 are the keywords to be searched for,
- StoreId is the StoreId
Q. Do I have to fill in all the parameters?
A. No. An empty search parameter will be skipped. The StoreId can be left blank and it will be taken from the configuration page.
Q. Where do I find the StoreId?
A. Click on the "Pop It In" tab in the PopShops Storebuilder. Select Javascript for your "favorite flavor." Look for the long funny string of numbers and letters that follows "shops/" Copy that part without the slash or quotes.
Q. Is there syntax checking?
A. Nope.
Q. Lemme see some examples
A. OK. Let's say we want to view adult Luke Skywalker costumes. If there aren't any, we'd like to just display adult Darth Vader costumes. If that doesn't work, let's try any large or medium Star Wars costume.
Scenario 1:
{TriplePop}luke skywalker adult,darth vader costume adult,star wars costume adult (medium OR large),{/TriplePop}
|
Scenario 2:
{TriplePop}luke skywalker adult mismatch,darth vader costume adult,star wars costume adult (medium OR large),{/TriplePop}
|
Scenario 3:
{TriplePop}luke skywalker adult mismatch,darth vader costume adult mismatch,star wars costume adult (medium OR large),{/TriplePop}
